PALAWAN NAMED WORLD’S BEST ISLAND FOR 2016

For the second time now, Palawan is again named the best island in the world by Travel + Leisure Magazine for 2016. The first time was in 2013.

This beautiful island topped the list from all over the world along with Cebu and Boracay Islands that are also in the Philippines.

It looks like travelers are really enjoying the beautiful white beaches with it’s powdery white sand and on top of that the nice clear water. It is often nice to just take a kayak and peddle from island to island and you will see all kind of corals and fishes swimming underneath.
Not to mention the rising mountains or cliffs that takes your breath away. Palawan is also the home for at least 5 WWII Japanese shipwreck diving sites particularly in Coron Bay which definitely attracts divers from all over the world.
Divers say there are so many shipwrecks close to Palawan. Just ask your Diving Agencies for more choices.

Not only do divers get excited with shipwrecks but also with the beautiful coral reefs surrounding the vast island of Palawan.

Puerto Princesa Subterranean River National Park (also known as Puerto Princesa Underground River) also draws people from all-over world. Many people are curious to see and experience the 8.046 km (5 miles) long underground river which is also named one of the New 7 Wonders of Nature.

Other Islands in the Philipines on the top 10 list of Travel +Leisure are: Boracay at 2nd and Cebu Island who lands on the 6th place.
